The views at Soraypampa Hostel are absolutely stunning, making it an ideal spot for visiting Lagunas Humantay and Salkantay. The bed in the bungalow was warm and comfy, and the meals were surprisingly good, especially dinner. Plus, the cozy atmosphere allows for great conversations with fellow travelers.
The temperature inside the private room could be improved.

I almost gave Soraypampa Hostel a good review, but I just couldn’t overlook being treated like everyone else. The food woudl ve been fine if it wasn't served cold and alone, and why should I walk so far to my room? With prices like these, I expected at least a complimentary gesture. Disappointing, to say the least.

stunning views of surrounding mountains, proximity to Humantay lake trailhead, opportunity to meet fellow travelers at communal dinners
It's quite a trek from the drop-off point to the hostel, not communicated clearly!!! Bathrooms are outside with no soap, shared with many day-trippers!!! Parking situation seemed chaotic when we arrived!!!

Everything was delightful! The cozy blankets kept me warm while we dined together with fellow trekkers—super fun to bond over a meal at 4000m! Plus, the location is spot-on for reaching Humantay Lake.
Honestly, I could've done without that long trek to the hostel and the food was about as exciting as watching paint dry—let's just say my taste buds didn't dance.

The bungalows were cozy and clean, and the meals were deliciously filling. I loved unwinding in the public bath after a long day of trekking and enjoyed some great downtime in the leisure room. Just a heads up, the hot water setup requires a little mixing, but it’s a small trade-off for such a lovely stay! 😊

would love to come back
The bungalow was cozy with a cool view. Loved the tea/coffee maker and the towels provided. There was a nice outdoor dining area with comfy furniture. The shared bathroom was clean and had hot water for showers. Lots of blankets kept us warm. The public bath was a nice touch for relaxation after hiking.

pleasant stay with a few minor issues
The cabins were well-kept with clean facilities. The clear roof allowed us to enjoy the starry sky above. Meeting fellow travelers in the dining room created a warm atmosphere.
The lack of heating in the common area made it a bit chilly during evenings.
